The following case study describes how a well-established agency, in business for 25 years, has adapted to the major restructuring within the property industry brought about by the latest developments on the Internet. Background
'Early in 2003 we discussed the possibilities of having an ‘easy to manage,’ ‘up-to-the-minute’ website at a reasonable cost with Magico Software. We already had an impractical website which had become obsolete and was difficult to update. There were very few enquiries and little sales through it, even though it was costing us over €1,000 a year. People were still ringing us asking for brochures, which we then had to print off and send out, taking us up to 1 hour a day to complete. 'The application itself is very user friendly. You can go straight into the details of each property, which means that I only have to spend on average 10 minutes a day using the application. Once I enter new property details, all I have to do is click a button, and all the information is automatically updated on our website. Also, the pictures of each property automatically condense to the right size, which saves me even more time, and is a lot less hassle than other applications.'
